We need parent help to run ski weeks successfully. Camp parents will be required to be police vetted before ski week. The head chaperone of each ski week will be in touch if a contribution towards food & accommodation is required for parent help.

Medical treatment

Ski patrol medics and the usual emergency services are available for more serious circumstances on the ski field. If however, further medical treatment is required off site ie, a hospital or doctor visit, then the parent/caregiver will be required to pick their child up to seek further medical assistance.

If a child is feeling unwell during the ski week, the parent/caregiver is required to collect their child from the ski lodge immediately.

Southland Ski Club will not be liable for further medical costs, ACC advice will be given if necessary.

In the event of an accident or sickness, I authorise the hut parents in charge to apply basic first aid including administering paracetamol if required
